Josh, who went fifteen games without a goal at the start of the season, has bagged twelve times over the last twenty-four games in all competitions and is determined to keep on improving both is personal game and the team's results.
Gordon scored Walsall's equaliser during Saturday afternoon's League Two draw with Play-Off chasing Port Vale - his third in four league games - and the former Leicester City prospect is keen to build upon his recent performances over the remainder of the season.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Josh said; "I think I’m improving each game and obviously the goals are coming as well. My hard work is always there week-in, week-out and now the goals and the technical side is improving each game as well.
"The main thing is getting results and we need to stop conceding some goals. If we can do that then we can do well. I saw Elijah come in and as he put the ball across, I stopped because I thought I hadn’t made it.
"When you’re scoring things drop for you don’t they, it dropped, I took my time and placed it in the back of the net."
Josh then went on to look back at last weekend's game, where he admitted the Saddlers, who also bounced back to defeat Northampton Town during the previous weekend, need to start games on the front-foot and begin to avoid taking on early goals.
Josh continued; "We started the game slow and allowed Vale to take the advantage, that’s been our issue in the last two games. We’re starting slow and giving us a mountain to climb, but we got a point and that’s all that matters really.
"We can’t keep making that a regular theme, we need to start games like we’re finishing them. We’re getting to the second-half and playing good football, we need to do that from the start."
