First-team manager Darrell Clarke has opted to loan young defender Tom Leak and striker Mitchel Candlin out as the highly rated prospects get a shot at some much-needed first-team football.
Central defender Tom Leak is enjoying a spell with BetVictor Southern League Premier Division South side Salisbury, having joined the Raymond McEnhill Stadium side on a one-month loan deal earlier this month.
Following on from Salisbury's midweek win over Taunton, Tom retained his place in the starting XI as his temporary side played host to Harrow Borough on Saturday afternoon.
Tom, who scored on his debut a few weeks ago, wasn't able to add to his goal but did play a part in a winning effort as goals from Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick (1', 87'), and Nathaniel Oseni (56') saw the Whites home to victory.
It wasn't all good news for Salisbury as they were unable to claim a clean-sheet as Harrow winger Frank Keita netted to draw the sides level shortly after the match reached the half-hour mark.
Mitchel Candlin is currently with BetVictor Southern League Central Division side Nuneaton Borough and will remain at Liberty Way until early January 2020 after recently extending his short-term deal
After sitting out the midweek defeat to Peterborough Sports Mitch was not named in the team which travelled to the Victoria Ground to take on Bromsgrove Sporting.
Sporting who have former Saddlers Will Shorrock and Cameron Peters among their ranks, were able to open the scoring as Tommy Taylor bagged a thirteenth-minute opener.
However, goals from Joel Kettle (26'), Alex Henshall (54'), and Callum Powell (77') saw Boro, who will take on Coventry Sphinx in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday, secure their first home victory of the campaign.
