James Clarke Wins League Two's Goal of the Month Award for September

Congratulations to Walsall captain James Clarke who has added to his Player of the Month award by picking up the League Two Goal of the Month award for September following his long-range effort against Crawley Town.
The goal came during a 3-2 victory over the Red Devlis with Elijah Adebayo and Wes McDonald also getting on the score-sheet for the Saddlers as they recorded a much-needed victory.

Clarke, who was up against Plymouth Argyle's Conor Grant and Swindon Town 's Eoin Doyle for the award, briefly spoke about his award, opting to thank his teammates who helped him along the way.

The 29-year-old said; "I’m really happy to win the goal of the month award. Rory Gaffney played a good pass across to me and I was invited to take the shot on and thankfully it went into the top corner."
