Following consultation with supporters at last week’s Fan’s Focus Meeting, the club opted to re-open the Early Bird campaign and, to date, over 100 new season tickets have been snapped up.
The Saddlers Chairman, who recently acquired the majority of the club's shares from previous owner Jeff Bonser, is eager to see this number, and matchday sales for the first home game of the season against Forest Green Rovers, increase between now and the weekend.
Speaking via the club's official website, Leigh said; "The response to the re-launch of the early bird has been excellent. I want to thank you for such a positive response.
"We will communicate the final numbers later in the week but 250 more season ticket holders seems achievable. After the excellent start to the season at Northampton Town, we are very keen to maintain the momentum at the first home game against Forest Green Rovers.
"Can I ask you all to be at that match if you possibly can be and bring a friend, bring a family member, in fact bring anyone who will get behind our team on Saturday.
"Last year against Plymouth there were 4,012 Walsall fans and 1,740 Plymouth fans in a crowd of 5,752. Can we beat that on Saturday? At least we should aim to beat the 4,012 of our own fans.
"Please get behind Darrell and the team and turn up in numbers. The team are waiting in the ticket office and they have kindly agreed to keep the ticket office open until 8.00pm on Friday so that we can be as available as much as possible."
