Erhun Oztumer Secures Bolton Wanderers Release

Troubled Sky Bet League One side Bolton Wanderers have today confirmed that former Walsall playmaker Erhun Oztumer has been granted his release, bringing to an end a nightmare spell at the Greater Manchester club.
Erhun joined the Trotters at the start of last season after making almost one-hundred appearances over two seasons with Walsall, bagging thirty-two goals and earning himself a place in Saddlers fans' hearts after entering several superb displays.

Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Erhun Oztumer has left the club. The midfielder joined Wanderers in the summer of 2018 from Walsall. The club would like to wish him well for the future.

Greenwich-born Oztumer made a total of eighteen first-team appearances for the then-Championship side last season but ultimately struggled to make an impact at the University of Bolton Stadium.

The former Dulwich Hamlet and Peterborough United man has found himself in a difficult situation as Wanderers are going through an administration process with a group known as 'Football Ventures' looking set to complete a takeover in the near future.

It is not known whether Erhun has his sights set on another club, but we hope he can get his footballing future sorted soon and begin to return to the 'Turkish Messi' form we know and love.
