Dan Scarr: 'Lets Make the Banks's a Fortress'

Walsall defender Dan Scarr has spoken ahead of this evening's League Two clash between the Saddlers and Newport County and revealed that he is hoping the Saddlers can turn the Banks’s Stadium into a fortress.
Darrell Clarke’s Saddlers return to action against the Exiles as they look to pick up their first win at the Banks’s this season having been held to a draw by Forest Green Rovers in their second outing of the campaign.

Scarr, who has been part of a three-man backline as the manager continues to learn all he can about his team, has been impressed with the level of support from the fans and is keen to use that to help the team build some momentum at home.

Speaking via the club's official website, Dan said; "Against Forest Green the atmosphere was unbelievable. The away travelling fans have been superb as well. That support really helps, especially at home. We need to make it a fortress."

The 24-year-old former Stourbridge and Birmingham City defender feels Walsall will grow stronger as the season goes and is confident in his and the squad's ability.

Dan added; "I’ve gone into every game confident, and during the game I’ve got more confident. I don’t feel like we are going to give away chances or goals.

"I always feel we are going to win the game. We've only had three games so it’s hard to create that so early. But we have got it early and we are only going to get stronger."
