Youth Alliance: Walsall Away to Tranmere on Opening Day of the Season

The EFL have confirmed the fixtures for the 2019/20 running of the Youth Alliance with Miguel Llera's Saddlers starting the campaign on the road.
Llera, who was recently appointed as the club's new Academy Manager following the departure of Graham Biggs towards the end of last season, will take his side to the North West for an opening day clash with Tranmere Rovers.

Following their opening day awayday, the young Saddlers will be back on the road for their second game of the season as they take on Oldham Athletic on Saturday, 31st August.

Walsall's first home game - all Youth Alliance games are due to be held at the Birmingham County FA's headquarters on Ray Hall Lane - will see Llera's side take on Carlisle United on Friday, 6th September.

The Reds will also take on sides such as Salford City, Preston North End and Shrewsbury Town as they look to improve upon last season's disappointing campaign.
