"I Wish the Club & the Fans All the Best" - George Dobson Bids a Fond Farewell

Former Walsall midfielder George Dobson, who recently completed a permanent move to Sunderland, has taken to social media to thank the club and its supporters.
Dobson, who has penned a three-year deal with the Stadium of Light club, thanked the club and its fans, admitting he enjoyed every minute, before wishing everyone well for the future.

Dobson made sixty-five first-team appearances since he returned to the Black Country from Sparta Rotterdam in January 2018, and had been the subject of plenty of transfer interest over recent weeks with clubs from up and down the football pyramid said to be keen to acquire his services.

The London-born midfielder has missed most of the Saddlers' pre-season campaign as he and striker Morgan Ferrier recently expressed a desire to leave the club following last season's relegation to the fourth tier of English football.

Speaking via his official Twitter feed, George said; "Would just like to thank Walsall FC for my time at the club. I loved every minute of it and was gutted about how last season ended.

"I wish the club and the fans all the best for the future and really hope they can get back to where they belong. UTS!"
