EFL Trophy: Walsall Drawn Against Coventry City and Forest Green Rovers

Walsall will face Coventry City and Forest Green Rovers in Round One of the 2019-20 EFL Trophy.
All forty-eight EFL clubs have been placed into pre-determined groups, with consideration given to ensure travel time is minimised for supporters and recovery time is maximised for players.

Darrell Clarke's’ side, who reached the Second Round of the competition last season, will discover their third and final Southern Group D opponent on Friday, as the sixteen invited under-21 teams are placed into their respective groups.

The draw will take place live on talkSPORT from 12.30pm, with the Saddlers set to face one under-21 outfit from Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham, Norwich City, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, or West Ham United.

Kicking off week commencing Monday, 2nd September, Walsall will play two of their Group D games on home soil, with further details to follow after Friday’s draw.
