Coventry City Linked With Walsall Midfielder Liam Kinsella

Following our previous report regarding the uncertain future of Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella, currently homeless Sky Bet League One outfit Coventry City have emerged as one of the clubs keen to land the former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international.
Liam, who is due to be out of contract at the end of the month, picked up last season's Young Player of the Season and Community Player of the Season as, despite being part of a team which was relegated to League Two, he enjoyed a superb campaign gaining a host of new fans and suitors alike.

Colchester-born Kinsella, who also collected last season's Goal of the Season Award for his Cup-tie winning goal against Sunderland, was one of only two players to be offered a new deal by manager Darrell Clarke with fellow Saddler Nicky Devlin rejecting fresh terms in favour of a switch to Livingston.

Liam's potential departure would leave the Saddlers somewhat short of options in midfield with the likes of George Dobson, Stuart Sinclair and Alfie Bates needing more competition, meaning the gaffer would likely have to dip into the transfer market to add to his squad.

Kinsella would form a huge part of the Saddlers' midfield as they look to stabilise following last season's dismal campaign, which sees the club playing outside of the third tier for the first time in over a decade.

The club has already added former Bristol Rovers duo Stuart Sinclair and James Clarke to the squad over recent weeks and are known to be keen to add further options to the first-team ahead of the return to action in early August.

We hope to have further information regarding Liam's future over the coming weeks as players begin to return to training following a summer break, with the squad set to return to training on Monday, 24th June.
