Walsall to Re-Enter Central League & Join Midland Floodlit Youth League

Walsall FC have confirmed that the club's development team will re-enter the Central League after spending the 2018/19 campaign outside of the competition.
The club's development team, which can include fringe players, those returning from injury and youth prospects spent last season playing behind closed doors friendlies and competing in local Senior Cup competitions.

However, after joining the club on a three-year deal, new manager Darrell Clarke has opted to give the team, likely to be managed by Brian Dutton, more regular games by re-entering the competition.

Development games will be played at the Birmingham County FA's headquarters, which are on Ray Hall Lane in Great Barr.

It has also been confirmed that the club's continue to compete in the EFL Youth Alliance and play home fixtures at BCFA.

Whilst the club has also agreed to join the Under-17 Midland Floodlit Youth League, providing our first-year scholars and Under-16s with the opportunity to play competitive games. These home matches will be played at Lichfield City.
