The Saddlers, who are managed by development coach John Ward, are looking to make progress in the various local Senior Cups having opted out of the Central League this season with the Walsall Senior Cup providing an opportunity to test some of the club's younger prospects against seasoned players.

Hosts Brocton, who booked their spot in the Second Round via a penalty shoot-out victory over Wolverhampton Casuals, were unable to secure a place in the Quarter-Final as the Saddlers eased to victory via a Dylan Parker hat-trick.
Parker, who is seen as a major prospect among club officials, gave Badgers goalkeeper Mark Wiggins plenty to think about as he scored one in the first-half followed by a second-half brace to send his side through.
