Joe Edwards Named on the Bench as Walsall Face Sunderland

Walsall midfielder Joe Edwards has taken a massive step towards returning to first-team action as he has been named among the substitutes for Saturday afternoon's Emirates FA Cup - Second Round clash between the Saddlers and Sunderland.
28-year-old Edwards, who recently saw his Saddlers contract extended for a further season, injured his anterior cruciate knee ligament against Blackburn Rovers in February and has been working with Head Physio Marc Czuczman in a bid to return to action.

Joe, who has spent several days and weeks working at the FA's St. George's Park, had recently returned to light training and will no doubt be seen as a massive boost for his teammates, who he has been supporting at awaydays throughout the campaign.

Welcome back, Joe!
