Dean Keates: 'We Have a Little Left in the Budget to Strengthen in January'

Walsall manager Dean Keates has spoken ahead of Tuesday evening's Emirates FA Cup - Second Round Replay against Sunderland and revealed that he has a little bit of his transfer budget remaining and has compiled a list of potential transfer targets ahead of the window reopening next month.
Keates, who added plenty of strength to his squad over the summer, insisted that he will do his best to sign players who will help to move the club forward, but any new arrivals may depend on whether there is any real interest in some of the players who he is looking to offload.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Dean said; "We have got a little bit left in the budget to go and strengthen in January. It’s just a case of looking and seeing what is around. A lot of the time you are dictated to be finances. But we have compiled a list of players we think will help us move forward.

"And we will do our best to add bodies to our squad. We haven’t got a number, we have got a list and we are openly looking. A lot depends on if we get any interest is in the players we have here."
