Josh Gordon: "I'm Learning & Improving"

Walsall striker Josh Gordon has spoken ahead of this afternoon's televised Sky Bet League One clash with Fleetwood Town, and spoken about the progress he has made since joining the club over the summer.
Gordon, who joined the Saddlers from Leicester City in the summer, has started the last three games and believes that he is doing well after waiting patiently for his opportunity to impress.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Josh said; "I have had to be patient but now I am getting an opportunity and feel I am doing well. I’m learning all the time because it’s very different playing first-team football to what I was playing at Leicester.

"The set-up is different when it comes to preparing for games – it’s not just about developing as a player. When I first arrived I understood I had to patient and learn from the players that were playing. I had to look at why they were doing well.

"And in training I’m learning from the older lads. Russell coming in, he’s a big factor, he guides us in training. He wants to help me develop as a player. And the more I’m on that pitch, the more comfortable I get and the more I read the game better. It’s is going to take time but I feel I’m learning and improving."
