Cook, who had a history of bagging goal-after-goal in non-league football, has already hit eight in all-competitions for the Saddlers with Keates believing that he will continue to improve with plenty of football yet to be played.
Speaking to the Express & Star's Saddlers correspondent Joseph Masi, Dean said; "There is no doubt about it, he is a player that consistently scores goals. He has done that over the last few years in the National League. And you never forget where the net is, he knows that.
"From day one he has been excellent. He has worked on bits and pieces. He has done a lot of work with Nick our sports scientist – his body fat has gone down. And he has bought into everything we have asked from him. I can’t praise the lad enough."
