Dean Keates Asks For Fans' Support Ahead of Wycombe Clash

Walsall manager Dean Keates has spoken to club journalists ahead of this afternoon's Sky Bet League One clash between the Saddlers and visitors, Wycombe Wanderers and urged the fans to get behind the team as they prepare for a run of five consecutive home matches.
Over the next eighteen days, Keates' side will play host to Wycombe, Burton Albion and Charlton Athletic in League One, whilst also facing Coventry City in the Emirates FA Cup and Port Vale in the Checkatrade Trophy respectively, giving them plenty to play for, especially after last week's duo of away defeats.

Keates, who was speaking via the club's official website - Saddlers.co.uk - believes that the club's supporters could make all the difference and has called upon the Saddlers faithful to back the boys, starting with today's clash with Gareth Ainsworth's Chairboys.

The Walsall-born gaffer said; "Coming into this five-game period at home, it’s an opportunity for the fans to get behind the players and give us a lift. We need them. It’ll be a difficult game against Wycombe.

"Gareth Ainsworth worked hard and was very honest in his career and that’s what they will be as a team. They’ll be a fully committed team and be in our face. They’ve got someone up front in Akinfenwa who, with his style of play, will make it tough for us.

"All being well, we can start brightly and get that feel-good factor back in the stadium."
