Keates, who returned to the club last season - replacing then-boss Jon Whitney - saw his side collect thirteen of a possible fifteen points over the month as they registered an opening-day victory over Plymouth Argyle and a draw at Scunthorpe United, before recording three successive victories, against Gillingham, AFC Wimbledon and Rochdale respectively.
The 40-year-old has been nominated alongside Steve Evans, (Peterborough United), Kenny Jackett, (Portsmouth), and Jack Ross, (Sunderland), with the winner set to be announced on Friday, 7th September.
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
