Morgan Ferrier: Saddlers' Strikeforce Have the Skills to Succeed

Walsall striker Morgan Ferrier has spoken to the press and insisted that the Saddlers' attacking line has all the qualities required to continue their fine start to the season, with he, Andy Cook, Josh Ginnelly, and Zeli Ismail all offering something different when going forward.
The striker, who joined the club from Boreham Wood for an undisclosed fee on Transfer Deadline Day, believes that he and his new teammates different attributes compliment each other, allowing them to be almost a constant threat in attack.

Morgan, who was speaking via the Express & Star ahead of Saturday's League One clash with Gillingham, said; "What I think benefits us as a team and players is that we all play a little bit differently. My strengths are different to Cookie’s and Zeli’s strengths are a bit different to Gino’s. I feel like we all complement each other well because we all bring different things to the table, we all have different attributes.

"With me and Cookie, he takes a lot of the knocks and I get to do some of the prettier things like running in behind and stretching defences, which is what I like doing. We are both good at different things and I think that is helping us and helping the team."

Ferrier then went on to praise wingers Ginnelly and Ismail, revealing that the knowledge that the duo will be able to find him in the box is a huge advantage, he continued; "That’s the best thing for an attacker – once you know the crosses are coming in, it’s an unbelievable feeling. With Gino and Zeli you know they can beat their man and get the ball in. So if you are not in the box, they have every right to have a go at you."
