Kane Wilson: West Brom Defender Joins on a Season-Long Loan

Walsall FC have confirmed the signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Kane Wilson, who joins the club on a season-long loan, as manager Dean Keates adds to his defensive options ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League One season-opener against Plymouth Argyle.
Following the arrivals of Andy Cook, Chris Dunn, Josh Ginnelly, and Zeli Ismail the club has struggled to recruit defensive players with Keates revealing that he has missed out on several potential signings as the club's wage cap continues to bite.

However, along with the earlier arrival of his Baggies colleague Jack Fitzwater, Kane will offer the gaffer some much needed strength at the backline, especially on the right side, easing the pressure which had started to build following a less-than perfect pre-season recruitment drive.

18-year-old Wilson, who is a product of the Baggies' youth academy, spent a six-game loan spell with League Two outfit Exeter City last season and arrives at the club in need of some all-important first-team football.

News, released via the club's official website - Saddlers.co.uk - confirms; Walsall Football Club are delighted to announce the arrival of highly-rated right-back Kane Wilson on loan from West Brom until the end of the season. The 18-year-old made his competitive debut for the Baggies at just 16 years of age and spent last season on loan at Exeter, helping them reach the League Two Play-Off final
