Walsall Academy Seeking to Recruit Volunteer Scouts

Walsall Football Club's Youth Academy, which has played a major role in the careers of players such as Troy Deeney, Scott Dann and Rico Henry, are seeking to recruit a number of committed volunteer scouts to help identify the next generation of Saddlers.
Since his appointment in March this year, Saddlers manager Dean Keates has sought to rebuild the club's scouting system, beginning with the appointment of locally-based scout Gary Jenkins, and is said to be keen to expand the system to include several former Saddlers who will be able to watch matches and report back.

The event will take place between 6pm and 7.30pm at Banks's Stadium on Thursday, 30th August. Please meet outside the main reception at 5.45pm.

Anyone who has an interest in supporting the club's academy with recruitment of future players should sign up to attend the upcoming scout recruitment event, which will take place at Banks's Stadium on Thursday, 30th August 2018.

The event will give those interested in joining the Academy an opportunity to outline the roles and responsibilities of scouts, answer any questions and also observe the academy in action.

To confirm your place, or if you require any further information, please contact the Academy by emailing [email protected].
