Dylan Parker Signs First Professional Contract

Walsall FC have confirmed that young striker Dylan Parker, who joined the club's youth system last season after a successful trial, has put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract.
The 18-year-old, who joined the Saddlers from FC Stratford last October, bagged eleven goals in twenty appearances for Graham Biggs' side, including two on his debut against Bury.

Parker, who is believed to have penned a three-month initial deal, spoke to club journalists and welcomed the opportunity to remain at the club, speaking via the club's official website - Saddlers.co.uk - he said; "It’s such a relief to be at the club and playing with some great players. I joined in October so I only had six months at Under-18s.

"I really enjoyed it and it was a massive step up coming into a professional academy. It’s another step up now and the intensity has gone up a lot, but I feel I’m doing alright with it. I’m really glad to finally be a professional."
