Walsall to Begin the Season at Home to Plymouth Argyle

The EFL have confirmed the fixtures for the upcoming season, revealing that Dean Keates' Saddlers will begin the campaign at home to Plymouth Argyle and end it with an awayday trip to Shrewsbury Town.
This season the Saddlers will face teams such as Barnsley, Burton Albion and Sunderland, who dropped down to League One following their relegation from the Championship, while teams such as Accrington Stanley, Coventry City, Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers have joined the fray after achieving promotion from League Two.

The Saddlers will take on Scunthorpe United in our first away game of the 2018/19 campaign on Saturday, 11th August, and end the season with an away trip to local rivals Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, 4th May.

Bristol Rovers will again visit Banks’s Stadium on Boxing Day, while the Saddlers will travel to Charlton Athletic on New Year’s Day.

League One newcomers Sunderland visit Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 24th November, with the Saddlers travelling to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, 16th March.
