Here is our Match Update from Tuesday afternoon's EFL Youth Alliance clash between Walsall and visitors Carlisle United.
Graham Biggs' Saddlers arrived at this afternoon's match on the back of Saturday's two-nil victory over Morecambe, as goals from Ethan Freemantle and Dylan Parker saw them ease to victory over the young Shrimps, continuing their recent run of form.

Walsall XI: Ganley; Mason, Fisher, Bates, Brown, Kendrick, Cairns, Friel, Nolan, O’Sullivan, Parker

Substitutes: Dawe; Ruddock, Little, Leivesley

Before today's clash, Carlisle's most recent outing saw them defeat third-placed Tranmere Rovers by three-goals-to-nil as Max Cowburn, Josh Dixon and Liam McCarron all hit the back of the net during the second-half to secure a comfortable victory over the Super Whites.

Walsall continued their good spell of form and won this afternoon's match by one-goal-to-nil as young striker Joe Cairns slotted home from the penalty spot to give Graham Biggs side, who have struggled for form over the course of the season, three more points as they seek to end their campaign at the highest point possible.
