Among those players to be offered a new contract by the Baggies is former Walsall loanee Jack Fitzwater, who is due to be a free agent at the end of June as his current deal nears its end.
20-year-old Fitzwater, who spent the first half of last season on-loan with Forest Green Rovers, made sixteen first-team appearances for the Saddlers after joining the club on Transfer Deadline Day, and was seen as a major player in the side which ultimately secured a place in the third tier of the English game for at least another season.
"Jack Fitzwater, Max Melbourne and Dara O’Shea have all been offered new deals following successful loans with Walsall, Ross County and Hereford respectively."
Walsall are said to be keen to re-sign Fitzwater but it is currently unknown if Baggies boss Darren Moore plans to add Jack to his starting line-up or is prepared to send the prospect out for another season to gain experience.
Saddlers boss Dean Keates has already expressed his desire to add first-team ready players to his side, and Jack's first-hand experience is sure to play a part if he becomes available.
