Young Walsall midfielder Will Shorrock has taken to Instagram to confirm that he will be leaving the club at the end of his current contract as manager Dean Keates has opted to release the 19-year-old as he looks to add experience to the squad following a season of struggle.
Will, who had made his Sky Bet League One debut during Saturday evening's season-ending defeat to Fleetwood Town, has spent the entire season playing for the club's development side.
Speaking via his Instagram feed, Will confirmed; "Just shows the harsh reality of football. To make my League One debut and three days later to be released.By far one of the most ruthless jobs there is, however, the hard work continues."
We would like to wish Will all the best as he begins the task of finding a new club ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
