Keates Keen to Remain Focussed as Attention Turns to Fleetwood

Walsall manager Dean Keates has spoken to the press ahead of this weekend's season-ending clash with Fleetwood Town and admitted that he is pleased to head into the final day of the season without any pressure as his team are secure in the knowledge that they will be plying their trade in League One for at least another season.
The Saddlers, who secured their status with a midweek draw away to Bradford City as ever-present attacker Erhun Oztumer added another goal to his tally with a first-half diving header, have had a season to forget and will be keen to return to the drawing board as Dean Keates and his backroom team look to build for next season.

Dean, who was speaking via the Express & Star, revealed that the last few weeks and months had been an 'emotional rollercoaster', he said; "If I’m honest, the past few months have been an emotional rollercoaster. We have been up and down. We had the lift after the Bury game. We went to Oldham and picked up a point. Then we go in at half-time against Wimbledon 2-0 up and then bang, at full-time we were at rock-bottom. It’s had it’s up and downs and if I’m being honest I’m glad it’s over."

The Walsall-born former midfielder then went on to look ahead to this weekend's clash with Fleetwood, insisting that his team will go into the game keen on securing three more points, he continued; "We have got one game left, we will go about it the right way. We will prepare right, we will look at Fleetwood and pinpoint what we think there weaknesses are. And we will got there to get three more points. The most important thing though is that we put in a performance to help the fans enjoy their weekend."
