Banks's Stadium: Pitch Renovations Well Underway

As Walsall manager Dean Keates and his team continue to prepare for the 2018/19 campaign, the club's groundstaff have also started their pre-season preparations as the pitch at Banks's Stadium is currently undergoing a makeover as the top layer of turf is being removed so reseeding can begin.
Leicestershire-based, Woodward Turf Care, who have worked with the club for several seasons, confirmed that their representatives have started to strip the pitch before levelling and seeding can begin.

Woodward confirmed that they had used a practice called 'koroing', which strips the vegetation from the surface of the pitch, earlier today, leaving the Banks's Stadium pitch with a clean, smooth finish.

The pitch will be reseeded soon and should offer a high-level playing surface for Dean Keates' side to ply their trade as they look to avoid a repeat of the 2017/18 campaign which saw the first-team struggle towards the foot of the League One table for much of the season.
