Adam Chambers Becomes Patron of Show Racism the Red Card

Walsall captain Adam Chambers has become a patron of Show Racism the Red Card, which is the UK’s anti-racism educational charity and was established in January 1996.
The organisation utilises the high-profile status of football and football players to help tackle racism in society. The majority of the campaign’s output is the delivery of education to young people and adults in their schools, their workplaces and at events held in football stadiums. Across Britain, Show Racism the Red Card delivers training to more than fifty-thousand individuals per year.

In a statement, released via their official website - theredcard.org - SRtRC confirm; Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) are delighted to announce that Professional Footballer, Adam Chambers, has agreed to become the latest patron of the campaign. Chambers is the Club Captain, and longest-serving player at League One side, Walsall Football Club.

Adam, speaking after the news was confirmed, said; "I am delighted to become a Show Racism the Red Card patron and to join the fantastic list of other footballers who have helped the campaign over the last 20 years."

Ged Grebby, Show Racism the Red Card Chief Executive, added; "Adam becomes the 4th club captain to join our patrons list in the last year. The use of footballers as anti-racism role-models is central to the ethos of the campaign and it is always great to have current professional footballers involved in our work."
