Figures Reveal Walsall Spent Over £40,000 on Agents Fees

The Football Association have confirmed how much money the 92 English clubs paid to agents between 1st February 2017 and 31st January 2018, revealing the Premier League spent over £210,000,000.
The figures also reveal that Sky Bet League One clubs spent around £3,500,000 during the same period with title-chasing Blackburn Rovers topping the table with a total spend of £764,024.

Clubs in the Sky Bet Championship spent a total of £42,183,048, with Wolves spending just over £2m, and Aston Villa topping the table with a spend of £5,510,180, while clubs in League Two spent just £958,969 between them.

Walsall spent £43,440, which is more than double the £20,986 they registered during the previous period. Promotion-chasing Shrewsbury Town spent slightly less than the Saddlers with Paul Hurst's side splashing out £43,140, while bottom-of-the-table Bury spent just £25,169.
