West Bromwich Albion forward Tyler Roberts, who is due to return to his parent club following the end of his loan spell at Banks's Stadium, has taken to Twitter to thank Walsall FC's players, staff and fans for their support during his six-month spell.
19-year-old Roberts, who made eighteen first-team appearances in a Walsall shirt, has less than six-months remaining on his contract with the Baggies and is understood to be attracting interest from several high-profile clubs including Leeds United, Rangers and Marseille.
Speaking via his official Twitter feed, Tyler, who's loan officially ends on Friday, 26th January, said; 'Thank you to everybody at Walsall FC for making me feel so welcome throughout my loan. I am forever grateful for the trust and confidence you put in me to perform and to learn, we created some great memories together. Good luck for the rest of the season.'
Walsall boss Jon Whitney had hoped to convince West Brom manager Alan Pardew to extend the Wales Under-21 international's loan spell for the remainder of the season but this appears to be at a dead end as the recently appointed gaffer seems keen to retain Roberts, with recent interviews suggesting he could even be added to the Baggies' first-team squad.
