On-Loan Duo Recalled By Their Parent Clubs

Walsall loanees Zeli Ismail and Dan Agyei have both been recalled by their parent clubs following six-month loan spells at Banks's Stadium.
Walsall FC have confirmed that loanees Zeli Ismail and Dan Agyei have both been recalled by their respective clubs after six-month spells at Banks's Stadium.

Burnley prospect Agyei netted on his debut in our 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle in early September, having also signed on Transfer Deadline Day. The young striker returns to the Premier League outfit having scored five times in 21 first-team appearances.

Bury winger Ismail scored three goals in 24 appearances for the Saddlers after signing on loan from the Shakers on deadline day back in August and quickly established himself as a first-team regular.

Saddlers manager Jon Whitney spoke via the club's official website Saddlers.co.uk, and thanked the duo for all their efforts in a Walsall shirt, he said; "We would like to thank both Zeli and Dan for their efforts. Dan’s attitude has been really good but we’ve just decided to go in a different direction and we couldn’t guarantee him minutes here. We would have absolutely loved to have kept Zeli but unfortunately he’s Bury’s player so they have called him back."

We would also like to wish both of them well as they resume their careers elsewhere.
