We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Wolverhampton Wanderers, Notts County, Leicester City and Walsall forward Gordon Willis, who has died at the age of 83.

Gordon Francis Wills was born in Wednesbury on Tuesday, 24th April 1934. Predominantly a left-winger, Gordon would make over three-hundred career appearances for the Wolves, Magpies and Foxes before joining the Saddlers in 1962.

He went on to score two goals in forty appearances for the club and remained in the region for the rest of his life.

We would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Gordon's wife Arlene and his family, friends and fans during this sad time.
