Walsall in Youth Alliance Cup Action Later Today

Walsall Under-18s return to action later today as they take on Mansfield Town in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup.
Walsall's Under-18s are back in Youth Alliance Cup action later today as they travel to Clipstone FC's Worksop Van Hire Stadium to take on Mansfield Town, with the match scheduled to kick-off at midday.

Graham Biggs's side haven't been in action in over a week, they most recently defeated Wrexham's Under-18s by two-goals-to-one in the Alliance Cup as Joe Cairns struck in either half to help move the Saddlers up the group and into contention with two games remaining. Walsall have a win and draw from their two group games but can make life difficult for the table-topping Stags' with a win.

Mansfield have made light work of Group 5 so far, with three wins from three against Burton Albion, Wrexham and Shrewsbury Town. The young Stags can secure qualification for the next stage of the competition as group winners if they avoid defeat this afternoon.
