Guthrie Keen to Focus on the Positives as He Targets a Return to Winning Ways

Jon Guthrie has insisted that there is no time to dwell on defeat as the Saddlers look to get back to winning ways this weekend.
Saddlers defender Jon Guthrie has spoken to club journalists following Saturday's disappointing defeat to Northampton Town and insisted that there is no time to dwell on the end of an unbeaten run as he and his teammates look to begin another one as soon as possible.

Jon, who has speaking via the club's official website - Saddlers.co.uk, admitted that he was disappointed as the unbeaten spell was halted at three games, but was adamant that the team is capable of getting back to winning ways very soon.

The defender, who has made twenty-seven first-team appearances so far this season, said; "It’s never nice to concede so quick after a goal but that happens in football and you’ve got to get on with the game. We always try to test the keeper - we’re an attacking team - but unfortunately it just didn’t work out. It shows you that in this league anyone can beat anyone - for now we’ll focus on next week.

"We want to keep climbing the table and we’ve been on a good run lately so I don’t think we should get too down about Northampton. We’ve got to focus on getting back on a good run as soon as we can. We have a lot of games coming thick and fast and with a good run of results you can push right up the table."
