Checkatrade Trophy | Second Round Draw to Take Place Later Today

Jon Whitney's Walsall will be ball number five in this evening's Checkatrade Trophy second-round draw.
The draw for the Second Round of this season's Checkatrade Trophy will take place at Wembley Stadium later this evening, and will see Jon Whitney's Saddlers play host to one of four potential opponents.

The Saddlers, who finished top of Northern Group E ahead of Shrewsbury Town, Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion's Under-23s, will be in Draw B of the Northern Section and will face either Leicester City's U21s (ball number 9), Accrington Stanley (10), Bury (11) or Oldham Athletic (12), each of those sides finished runners-up in their respective groups.

The draw for the last 32 will take place ahead of the England v Germany international friendly. With England U17 World Cup-winning manager Steve Cooper and Southampton legend Matthew Le Tissier selecting the ties, alongside BBC Sport presenter Mark Clemmit overseeing proceedings from the Wembley Suite.
