Shaun Donnellan Features as Ireland U21s Defeat Israel

Saddlers right-back Liam Kinsella and on-loan West Brom defender Shaun Donnellan were named in the matchday squad as the Republic of Ireland Under-21s faced Israel in their latest UEFA U21 European Championship qualifier.
Walsall right-back Liam Kinsella and on-loan West Brom defender Shaun Donnellan were named in the matchday squad as Noel King's Republic of Ireland Under-21s continued their unbeaten run in UEFA U21 European Championship qualifying with an impressive four-nil victory over Israel.

Goals from Queens Park Rangers striker Reece Grego-Cox, who bagged a hat-trick in a superb display, and Everton midfielder Harry Charsley saw Ireland stay top of Group Five, continuing their unbeaten run at Tallaght Stadium.

Head Coach King went with the same team that held Norway Under-21s to a goalless draw last week and saw his side dominate the game and keep themselves on track for a place in the upcoming championship.

West Brom defender Donnellan played for the full ninety minutes and, along with his teammates, was fairly untroubled as the young Irish side strolled to victory. Liam Kinsella had to settle for a spot on the bench and  was once again an unused substitute.
