Youth Alliance - Walsall Face Wrexham Later This Morning

Graham Biggs' Walsall Under-18s are back in Youth Alliance action on Saturday morning as they travel North to take on Wrexham.
Walsall's Under-18s are back in action this weekend as they travel North to take on Wrexham in the EFL Youth Alliance. Here we look ahead to the game.

The young Saddlers haven't been in competitive action for three weeks as last weekend's clash with Blackpool was postponed before being rearranged for late in November.

Walsall's most recent match was their seven-nil thrashing of Carlisle United, which took place on Saturday, 9th September and saw goals from Mitchel Candlin (3), Dan O'Sullivan (2), Joe Cairns and an own goal secure the Saddlers' first victory of the 2017/18 campaign.

Wrexham's most recent Youth Alliance game took place last weekend and saw them slip to a narrow defeat against league leaders Tranmere Rovers. The young Dragons have won two, drawn two and lost one of their five alliance fixtures.

Today's match is due to kick-off at 11.00am, and we hope to have an update later.
