Leahy Happy With Plymouth Performance - Praise for Dan Agyei

Luke Leahy has taken a look back at last weekend's victory over Plymouth Argyle, before praising on-loan Burnley forward Dan Agyei.
Walsall wing-back Luke Leahy has spoken to the local press following last weekend's League One victory over Plymouth Argyle, and has discussed the level of belief currently doing the rounds at Fortress Bescot.

Luke, who was speaking via the Express & Star, said; "There is a real belief in the team at the minute, a real confidence. I think that showed against Plymouth. We played really well. They threatened from a few set pieces but it was us getting the ball down and creating chances. We are four unbeaten now, it’s two draws and two wins. I think everyone can see we are a team moving in the right direction."

Leahy, who joined the Saddlers from Falkirk last summer, then went on to discuss on-loan Burnley forward Daniel Agyei, praising the 20-year-old who has settled in to the squad almost straight away, he continued; "I thought Dan did really well against Plymouth. He pushed their centre-backs back and got us up the pitch. He’s a strong lad and he is quick so he is going to cause defenders problems. He’s settled in really well.

"His only training session was on Friday and we tend not to do too much the day before a game – we like to concentrate on set-pieces. He only met the lads very briefly but performances like that quickly earn respect from players. He produced a good finish for the goal so fair play to the boy. And for me it was nice to get another assist because I’m really enjoying the wing-back role."
