IN BRIEF | Whitney Looks Ahead to Kassam Stadium Clash

Jon Whitney expects Pep Clotet's Kassam Stadium side to post a big challenge as his Saddlers look to earn a win away from home.
Walsall manager Jon Whitney has briefly spoken to club journalists ahead of Saturday afternoon's League One clash with Oxford United, and insisted that Pep Clotet's side, who sit four places and three points above the Saddlers, will pose a challenge.

Jon, who was speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, said; "It’ll be a big challenge – like every game is. If we can get a result we’ll go level with them. Pep’s got them playing with really good energy. I know a lot of their players and I’ve watched them over the last couple of years so I know what to expect. We’ve got to concentrate on performance, keep our levels and standards high, and make it very difficult for them."
