Saddlers boss Jon Whitney has spoken to BBC WM Sport following his side's Carabao Cup defeat to Sheffield United, and has praised his team as they showed plenty of endeavour, despite the full-time result.
Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to BBC WM Sport following Wednesday evening's Carabao Cup - Round One defeat to Sheffield United, and has insisted that his side was the better of the two for at least seventy-five minutes of the match.

46-year-old Whitney admitted that his side  could've won the game but failed to manage the match as they conceded three second-half goals to exit the competition at the first stage.
