Walsall Set to Sign Carlisle United Goalkeeper Mark Gillespie

The Saddlers are set to complete the signing of former Carlisle United goalkeeper Mark Gillespie, who is expected to sign a two-year deal.
Walsall Football Club are believed to be close to sealing the signature of former Carlisle United goalkeeper Mark Gillespie, who is expected to put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract.

25-year-old, Newcastle born Gillespie is a product of both the Newcastle United and Carlisle United youth systems and turned professional in 2010.

Mark made over 150 first-team appearances during his time with the Cumbrians and also enjoyed a successful three-month loan spell with Blyth Spartans during the 2010/11 campaign.

Gillespie turned down Carlisle's offer of a new deal around a week ago.
