Carabao Cup | Walsall Unseeded for Friday's Cup Draw

In the newly regionalised section of the First Round, Jon Whitney's Walsall have been named among the non-seeded sides.

Following the news that the draw for Round One of this season's Carabao Cup will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, 16th June, we can now confirm which number Walsall will be as they begin their journey in this season's competition.

Seventy EFL Clubs will be in the draw with matches scheduled to take place week commencing Monday, 7th August, with Sunderland included. Championship newcomers Hull City and Middlesbrough will join the competition in Round Two alongside the Premier League clubs that are not competing in Europe.

The draw is regionalised to minimise travelling time for supporters in the first round with seeding decided by a Club’s finishing position in the EFL.

Walsall have been named among the non-seeded northern sides and will be ball number 34 during Friday afternoon's draw.
