21-year-old, Cork born O'Connell made seventeen appearances, and scored one goal, during a loan spell which saw him add some much-needed strength to the backline.
Walsall's Sky Bet League One rivals Bury have this afternoon confirmed the signing of Celtic defender Eoghan O'Connell, who joins the club on a three-year contract.

News, released via BuryFC.co.uk, confirms; We are delighted to announce that defender Eoghan O'Connell is our latest summer signing. The Irish defender joins the Shakers on a 3-year deal after leaving Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.
