Etheridge Rejects Walsall's Contract Offer - Agrees to Join Cardiff City Later This Summer

London-born Etheridge made ninety-four appearances for the Saddlers after signing for the club in the summer of 2015.
Walsall Football Club have this afternoon confirmed that goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has turned down the club's offer of a new three-year contract in favour of a free transfer to Sky Bet Championship outfit Cardiff City.

In a statement, released via Saddlers.co.uk, the club confirmed the Philippines international's departure before passing on its appreciation to the London-born 'keeper who made ninety-four appearances after joining on a free transfer in the summer of 2015; Walsall Football Club have today been informed that goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has opted to sign a contract with Championship side Cardiff City, subject to paperwork and international clearance, when his current deal at the Banks’s Stadium expires on June 30.
