Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press ahead of Monday's League One clash with Swindon Town, and confirmed that, as reported last week, he is monitoring Woking striker Gozie Ugwu.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "He is a name on my desk. There are a couple from Scotland that have been put on my desk as well. I have got to try and get two or three days in the week where I can watch them.
"A lot has been said, we haven’t got a lot of scouts or a recruitment officer because my budget doesn’t allow it. I have got to finds ways around that but I will do everything I can to try and make this club better."
