Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists ahead of Good Friday's League One clash with Shrewsbury Town, and has offered a brief update on the injury status of Erhun Oztumer, Eoghan O'Connell and Florent Cuvelier.

Speaking via Saddlers Player, Jon said; “There might be an opportunity that Erhun Oztumer might be with me today - whether that’s too soon for the weekend, I’ll have a look today and tomorrow.

"Eoghan has come back in this week and done really well. Flo Cuvelier has pushed on from the weekend and looked really strong in training. There are some nice problems for me to have with my selection, and I’ve got a good squad to pick from."
