Port Vale Clash Postponed Due to International Call-Ups

Walsall's Sky Bet League One clash with Port Vale, which was due to take place at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 25th March, has been postponed due to international call-ups.

Ever-present goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, midfielder Maziar Kouhyar attacker Andreas Makris and striker Simeon Jackson have all been called up to represent their respective countries.

London-born Etheridge will link up with the Philippines for their international friendly with Malaysia on 22nd March and their AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifier against Nepal five days later.

Kouhyar, who picked up an injury during his last international spell, has been called up for Afghanistan’s international friendly against Singapore on 23rd March and their AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 qualifier at home to Vietnam on 28th March.

Club-record signing Makris will travel to Cyprus for their international friendly with Kazakhstan on 22nd March and their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Estonia three days later.

Finally, Simeon Jackson will link up with Canada for their international friendly against Scotland on 22nd March.

A new date for the Saddlers' match with Port Vale will be announced in due course.
