Walsall boss Jon Whitney has spoken ahead of this weekend's League One clash with AFC Wimbledon, and has discussed the importance of emotion, revealing his desire for the squad to be hungry to succeed as we enter the final few months of the campaign.
Jon, who was speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, also praised his squad for their recent performances, he said; "For me it’s key that we’ve got some emotion in the place and we’re all very hungry at the moment to try and get some more points on the board. This is the business end of the season now and it’s really great that we are playing for something.
"Each game we play we believe we can win, but we only do that if it’s not just words and we actually go onto the pitch with some energy. I think, with the crowd and the energy that we’ve got, we’re a force to be reckoned with at moment."
