On Saturday afternoon Graham Biggs' Walsall Under 18s side returned to action as they travelled North to take on Burnley Under 18s in the latest EFL Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.

Graham Biggs' side, who were held to a goalless draw by league-leaders Blackpool during their most recent outing, had enjoyed a superb start to their alliance campaign having won nine of their fifteen fixtures, losing on just two occasions.

Burnley hadn't played since they defeated Carlisle United's Under 18s by four-goals-to-nil on 21st January, and were keen to keep up their recent spell of form which had seen them go undefeated over the last six games.

Sadly for the young Saddlers they were unable to get back to winning ways as the young Clarets ran out winners by three-goals-to-one. We will have a further update on the game soon.

EFL YOUTH ALLIANCE (NORTH WEST) | RESULT
BURNLEY 3 WALSALL 1
